Emtex acquires Option Software Systems, Inc.

Emtex Software, Inc. the leading provider of document output management solutions, is pleased to announce that it has acquired, Option Software Systems Inc. a privately held Californian based company that specializes in state-of-the-art operations management, workflow and scheduling solutions to better and more efficiently manage high volume document production sites. Terms of the sale were not disclosed. This acquisition broadens Emtex Software's portfolio of integrated output management solutions, adds valuable expertise and establishes a document production workflow framework, which enables Emtex to continue to deliver higher value to its growing customer base. All of the solutions in the Option Software Suite, in particular, PROM and Workflow are designed to streamline information access and centralize operational control, maximizing productivity while reducing costs. PROM monitors the entire print environment and may be configured according to the unique business needs of an organization.

Emtex Integrates KODAK COLORFLOW Color Processor with its VIP Output Management Software

As part of the joint development process, Emtex worked closely with the technical group at Kodak Versamark and Kodak research to integrate the KODAK COLORFLOW Color Processor into the Emtex IJPDS driver that converts the input legacy print streams to the IJPDS format that is native to the Kodak Versamark CS400 controller. This integration provides more accurate color rendition based on the industry standard profiles defined by the International Color Consortium. The newly integrated solution will be available to Kodak Versamark’s customer base through its reseller agreement with Emtex, as well as to Emtex’s customer base.

Emtex Reports a 44% Revenue Growth

Emtex Software Inc., the leader in innovative Output Management software solutions for high volume document producers, is pleased to report a record year in financial performance, broad customer adoption by the Fortune 1000® community and global market acceptance.

Celebrating its 13-year anniversary in 2005, Emtex completed its fiscal year, which ended July 31st, with revenues up 44 percent, and a five time increase in profitability; results which are well above current market growth rates. Contributing to this growth was a significant number of new customer wins, particularly in the financial services, insurance, communications and service bureau/outsourcing segments. Existing customers positively impacted this growth, notably with FlexServer and VDE licenses, to strengthen their enterprise output management capabilities.

Pitney Bowes to Acquire Emtex

Pitney Bowes Inc. (NYSE:PBI) today announced that it has signed a definitive agreement to acquire all of the outstanding shares of Emtex Ltd. for approximately $41 million. Emtex’s software and services allow large-volume mailers to simplify document production and centrally manage complex multi-vendor and multi-site print operations. Upon completion of this transaction, Emtex will become a wholly-owned subsidiary of Pitney Bowes within its Document Messaging Technologies division. Subject to regulatory approval and completion of other customary conditions, the transaction is expected to close in the first calendar quarter of 2006.
